Tasks

Realization and dissemination of the phantom related measuring quantities [Hp(10), Hp(0.07), H*(10), H′(0,07)]; Handling of all tasks in the field of radiation protection according to the verification ordinance; Research in the field of radiation protection dosimetry using photon radiation.

Examples are:

  • Specification and characterization of 5 facilities for the production of all photon reference radiations according to ISO 4037-1
  • Development and calibration of secondary standards (e.g. Hp(10) chamber)
  • Type tests of area and personal dosemeters
  • Regular comparison measurements of personal dosemeters for photon radiation
  • Co-operation in national and international standards committees
