The "Metrology for long distance surveying" project is a joint research project (JRP) of nine European national metrology institutes and three universitites with the key objective to improve the traceability and to reduce the uncertainty of long-distance metrology. Thus, we are working to improve the metrological basis of surveying, geodesy, and many earth sciences.

The program is funded within the EMRP-program and runs between July 2013 and June 2016.
