Today's Noise Tomorrow's Signal

13.02.2019 - 15.02.2019

In May 2017, the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (the national metrological institute of Germany) launched the core facility ‚Metrology of Ultra-Low Magnetic Fields’, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The mission of the core facility is to grant external users the access to PTB’s unique metrological accomplishments in the area of ultra-low magnetic fields.  The very low noise environment provided by the Berlin Magnetically Shielded Room (BMSR2) and the operation of ultra-sensitive magnetic field sensors, i.e., in particular, SQUIDs (Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices) and OPMs (Optically Pumped Magnetometers) enables innovative precision measurements for various applications, such as biomagnetism, magnetic nanoparticles, fundamental physics and sensor development

We continuously work on the advancement of our facilities and capabilities. To keep up with the needs, a steady exchange with users of ultra-low magnetic measurement technique is a must. To this end, we organize the workshop 'Today's Noise Tomorrow's Signal' as a platform for learning from each other and, possibly, establishing fruitful cooperation.

The workshop will be held over three days, giving you the opportunity to present and discuss your work in the files of Sensor technologyApplication in researchSample Environment.
