|Description||Develop work plans for the implementation of the strategic option (a plan for 2-3 years and 6-12month plans).|
|Objectives||- Define clear activities, resources, time frames andresponsibilities to assure implementation of strategy.
- Define process indicators/milestones and responsibilities to monitor the implementation progress.
|When to apply||After designing the project overview plan and deciding on the steering structure.|
|Requirements||- Project Objective clearly defined.
- Approval and Support of Director.
|Limits of the tool||The implementation of the activities depends in some cases on external factors and actors which are difficult to influence.|
|Steps||2.3.1 Specify the characteristics of the service.
2.3.2 Identify the core elements for project success.
2.3.3 Develop long-term workplan.
2.3.4 Develop short-term workplan.
2.3.5 Appoint a responsible person for the monitoring of the operational plan (Tool 5.2)
