Tool 5.1 Coaching
|Description||Assign an expert who guides the participant in the development of the service and helps the participant to expand his/her point of view about the subject.|
|Objectives||- Continuous support and advise on the implementation of the workplan.
- Guide the participant in to identify and deal with opportunities and challenges in the project.
|When to apply||During the whole project.|
|Requirements||Commitment of the participant who receives the coaching.|
|Resources||Medium (in case of travel expenses for the coach)|
|Limits of the tool||Financial resources and availability of coach.
Note: During the project 2009-2011, one representative per WG received coaching.
|Steps||The following activities can be carried out in any order.
5.1.1 Promote on-line sessions in order to follow up on the work plan and to discuss the implementation of the service.
5.1.2 Promote videoconferences when the coach needs to be part of a conference with a group of people of the NMI or the industry.
5.1.3 Share documents that could support the participants in the implementation of the service.
5.1.4 Determine activities where the presence of the coach would be valuable and prepare the arrangements for the coach.
