First Application of CALIDENA in the Caribbean
Jams and jelly Value Chain Workshop in Antigua
In February 2014 took place on the Island of Antigua the first application of the CALIDENA methodology in the Caribbean. The initiative was hosted by the Antigua and Barbuda Bureau of Standards (ABBS) in collaboration with the CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality (CROSQ) and with funding from the International Cooperation of the German Metrology Institute -Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB). For the first pilot the country selected the Jams and Jellies Value, because of its representative role in the local food processing sector.
In preparation of the workshop a local consultant prepared a feasibility study (click here for download). A workshop documentation including the action plan is also available (click here for download)
