EU representative confirms the importance of Infra-AUV's goals

In his plenary talk at CTBTO's Science and Technology conference EU-Ambassador Stephan Klement empasized the importance of the metrological goals that drive the Infra-AUV project.

In June 2021, the CTBTO held their biennial Science and Technology Conference - SnT2021, attracting dignitaries, technologist, policy formulators, students and youth groups from around the globe*. Among the distinguished speakers in the Opening Ceremony, Ambassador Stephan Klement delivered a statement on behalf of the European Union’s High Representative and Vice President, Josep Borrell. Ambassador Klement mentions specifically the vital role undertaken by CTBTO in nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation. He cites the importance of independent and reliable data in leading to transparency and trust between countries. Moreover, he highlights the sharing of the monitoring data for wider and equally vital civil and scientific applications such as climate change, oceans and ecosystems, prediction seismic activity and tsunamis.

The themes of the speech are founded on the very same principles as the needs formulated for Infra-AUV, and vindicates at the highest level, the goals of our project.
