3rd 3D Metrology Conference

3D Metrology Conference - 3DMC 3DMC is a conference and exhibition dedicated to the application and development of 3D measurement technology for industrial, scientific and cultural purposes. After the successful start of the series in Aachen in 2016 and 2017, the organizing committee is dedicated to open the forthcoming third event to an even broader audience.
3DMC 2018 will be hosted in Hamburg. 3DMC aims at end users of 3D metrology systems, equipment and software suppliers, service providers, researchers and procurement and quality managers. These target audiences operate in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, power generation, marine, off-shore, built environment, cultural heritage and virtual reality. Users and developers from these diverse fields can share their differing experiences, values, and requirements while, at the same time, helping to drive the industry forward. Conference themes include:

  • 3D Metrology Technologies and Applications from nanometre to large scale
  • Automation enabled by In-Process Metrology
  • Digitization - Smart Sensors for the Internet of Production
  • Augmented and Virtual Reality supporting user interaction and metrology-based decision making
  • Measurement Uncertainty and Traceability
  • Nondestructive testing

We welcome presentations of applications at all scales, from the reverse engineering and inspection of small parts to the as-built 3D modeling of entire process plants. The conference also looks beyond its immediate technology boundaries and welcomes guest lectures on diverse subjects. Visit Hamburg this autumn to explore 3D metrology and benefit from the community.
