The central task of the Working Group Surface Technology has optimized the production of material for all surfaces at the PTB occurring applications. The working group interface technology works hand in hand with the working group 5.56 manufacturing technology in the development of new methods for optimization of (surface) fabrication processes. The integration of these areas of work in the Scientific Instrumentation allows us to offer the fields of the PTB a comprehensive service, which enables the production of products with optimal properties.
