We increasingly see simulations, virtual experiments, digital twins and machine learning methods as new standard in many areas. This concerns both industrial applications and research. From the point of view of quality assurance, this results in overriding questions:
1. How do we ensure confidence in simulation results?
2. How do we establish comparability of virtual and real measurements?
3. Which standards for interfaces, metadata and data formats are necessary?
These questions must be addressed promptly, especially in view of the rapidly advancing digitalization.
For this reason, the PTB competence centre
VirtMet is organizing the 1st international workshop "Metrology for virtual measuring instruments" (VirtMet).
More information:
Please note that the workshop format was changed to "online only". That is, the workshop will be carried out as an online video conference and no physical attendance is required.
