9.111 German Calibration Service – DKD

The German Calibration Service (DKD for short) is a technical body of PTB. It supports the metrological infrastructure, in particular the German calibration system, in terms of the dissemination of units according to § 6 of the Units and Time Act. The aim of the DKD is to ensure uniformity in metrology by participating in establishing technical regulations at national, European and international level. Accordingly, a major contribution lies in the preparation of DKD guidelines, unless suitable standards or guidelines already exist for the field in question. Members of the DKD are primarily German accredited calibration laboratories. However, other institutions such as verification authorities, National Metrology Institutes and designated institutes as well as foreign accredited calibration laboratories are also welcome to join the DKD as members. For more details, please visit the DKD website.
