The QI-Digital initiative, supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action (BMWK), is carried by a consortium of different players of the quality infrastructure.
Department 9.4 represents the interests of PTB within the consortium.
In addition to PTB, the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM), the German Institute for Standardisation (DIN), the German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies (DKE) as well as the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) belong to the consortium.
PTB projects in the field of digital transformation are generally coordinated by the PTB's Digitalisation Innovation Cluster.
The office for the QI-Digital initiative was established at PTB in 2023. It functions as the central contact and communication facility for all activities of the consortium. The office is headed by Helga Hansen.
