Within the scope of the ad hoc group "Measurement Software" which was set up by the JCGM/BIPM, PTB and NPL worked together to develop a risk-based approach for the development and assessment of metrological software. This approach stands for a harmonised procedure and ensures the world-wide comparability of development and validation activities.
