Droplet generation for digital PCR
EMPIR project SEPTiMET
The SEPTIMET project aims to improve the speed, accuracy, and reproducibility of diagnostic tests for the identification and treatment of sepsis. Sepsis is a life-threatening condition. Time to diagnosis can be critical for patient survival. This project is clinically driven. It develops and characterizes reference systems in this context. The reference systems will support reliable application of existing tests. The project also investigates metrological support for new and innovative approaches that can offer the next generation of diagnostic solutions. The outcome of the project may also support manufacturers of in-vitro diagnostics, who develop tests for monitoring sepsis treatment.
