Metrology for Magnetic Nanoparticles

Working Group 8.23

Development of measurement methods for characterization, quantification and imaging of magnetic nanoparticles

Profile

New biomedical applications of magnetic nanoparticles for new diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are constantly developed. PTB supports these investigations by providing new measurement procedures for sensitive detection of magnetic nanoparticles in a biological environment. Furthermore, PTB contributes to the standardization of magnetic nanoparticles and supports by characterization of the measurement procedures a safe application of magnetic nanoparticles in biomedicine.
