Project description
It can be advantageous for calibration laboratories to supervise and correct geometry deviations in a sub-volume of the CMM on a short temporal scale, if a large number of similar measurement tasks is performed within that volume.
This research project aims at the development of a modular measurement standard and a dedicated measurement procedure that allow for the temporal and task-specific increase of the accuracy of the CMM. This includes the derivation of a novel calibration strategy and methods to verify the measurement strategy.
The Project is funded by the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) as part of the “Zentrales Innovationsprogramm Mittelstand” (ZIM), which means “Central Innovation Program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)”.
