EMPIR-16ENV02 Black Carbon “Metrology for light absorption by atmospheric aerosols

01.10.2019

EMPIR-16ENV02 Black Carbon has been launched this summer. The project deals with the construction of a metrological infrastructure for filter-based absorption photometers, which are widely used for black carbon monitoring (environmental zones / GAW background stations). This will be an important controller element of the radiative forcing, as well as enables more accurate quantification of the health effects of black carbon (source study).
