Working Group 2.31

Profile

The working area of this working group is the legal regulated and industrial metrology. They are of great significance because both, transmission of electric energy from producer to consumer and precise accounting of energy consumption at high voltages and currents. The working group is responsible for realization, maintenance and dissemination of measurement parameters for inspection technologies of instrument transformers, i.e. for measurement parameters like “complex voltage ratio” of voltage transformers, “complex current ratio” of current transformers and complex load impedance.

Research/Development

  • Research and development of new measurement methods, of automatic measurement data acquisition and development and construction of measurement equipments in the area of conventional and non-conventional instrument transformers,
  • Research and development concerning the traceability of measuring systems for power loss and efficiency measurements on energy transmission equipments,
  • Participation in research and development work within the framework of European metrological projects

  • Testing and calibration of instrument transformers, instrument transformer test sets, burdens, burden test sets for state approved testing laboratories and other applicants for electricity measuring instruments,
  • Technical cooperation with other countries concerning establishment and improvement of metrology.
