Multi-component acceleration exciter

Working Group 1.71

Three electrodynamic vibration exciters, each generating forces of 9,8 kN, are arranged orthogonally to each other. A hydrostatic bearing ensures coupling of the motion components. The integrated cross-coupling unit operates as a pre-clamped assembly, with the gliding surface realized by hydraulic oilpressed at 200 MPa between outer frame and moving block (gap: 15 µm). The round measuring table, 420 mm in diameter, can be combined with a temperature chamber by a thermo-barrier. This allows the temperature influence on motion transducers to be investigated within a range of -40 °C to 105 °C. A so-called matrix controller allows the input signals of the power amplifiers to be iteratively pre-distorted in such a way that a desired, arbitrary time dependency of any motion quantity can be achieved within wide ranges.
