Type examinations of sound calibrators
In Germany, sound calibrators applied for calibration of sound level measuring devices for common control purposes in the fields of occupational safety or environmental protection are subject to verification. Before placing them on the market they have to undergo type examinations under German law. This is based on the standard DIN EN 60942:2017, which includes requirements, tolerance limits and test procedures. One of the tasks of Section 1.63 is to perform and evaluate these tests.
