Abstract: New dielectric-constant gas thermometry (DCGT) measurements were performed at PTB in the temperature range from 2.4 K to 26 K in order to establish a temperature scale with reduced uncertainty. The progress concerning the measurement of capacitance changes, temperature and pressure compared with the results published in 1996 are described in detail. The work done is the first step on the way to determine the Boltzmann constant at the triple point of water.
