The Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) acting jointly for Fire and Explosion Protection. The program of 11th BAM/PTB-Colloquium reflects actual research projects of both institutions as well as practical aspects of Fire and Explosion Protection. The topics of the 12 lectures are ignition processes under non-atmospheric condi-tions, flame spreading below flash point conditions, deflagrations in pipes, flame transmission processes, explosion protection on road tank trucks, new technical developments in the field of electrical explosion protection, electrical installation in zone 2, transportation and mass storage of fireworks, fire scenarios on storing of bulk powders and tanks for liquified gases. Additional to the main program visiting of laboratory facilities of electrical and non electrical explosion protection in PTB is possible. Beside this visiting an introduction in the database CHEMSAFE (database for rated safety characteristics) is presented. .bold.Parallel als CD-ROM-Ausgabe erschienen.
