Characterization of magnetic nanoparticles
Magnetic particle spectroscopy (MPS) is a highly sensitive and fast magnetic measurement procedure for the quantification and characterization of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs). Thanks to a flow cell which was developed at PTB, MPS can now be combined with a chromatographic separation procedure in a flow system. This clever combination of sensitive magnetic measuring instruments and established quantity determination procedures makes the relationship between the size of the particles and the magnetic behavior rapidly and effectively detectable. The flow cell is easily interchangeable, which prevents dead spaces from occurring in the flow geometry. (Technology Offer 0408)
