Reference values in the case of drinking water comparison measurements

New way of determining traced-back reference values is very rational

30.11.2007

Due to increasing demands for the international comparability of measurement results, metrologically traced-back reference values for comparison measurements are gaining increasingly in importance over the consensus values used mainly today. Within the scope of a study it was possible to show that on the basis of gravimetrically or volumetrically produced samples for the comparison measurements and with the aid of the results of the participants, it was possible to determine traced-back reference values. The path shown here is very rational, and therefore an approach for meeting the great demand for traceability existing in the field of foodstuff- and environmental analysis.
