DAkkS and DKD agree on extended transitional arrangements

14.01.2021

Due to the Opens external link in new windowextension of the harmonisation period of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 by the EU Commission until 30 June 2021, DKD and DAkkS have agreed on the extension of the transition period regarding the DAkkS-DKD Technical Guides and Guidelines as well as the use of the DKD symbol in calibration certificates according to the regulations laid out in document DAkkS-DKD-5.

The date of withdrawal of the documents DAkkS-DKD-5 and DAkkS-DKD-5-MB as well as of the DAkkS-DKD Rules and Guides published by DAkkS has been rescheduled accordingly to 30 June 2021.

Calibration laboratories having received their accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 before 31 December 2020 are thus still permitted to use the DKD logo on their calibration certificates. If the currently published accreditation certificate of a calibration laboratory lists a DAkkS-DKD Guideline or a DAkkS-DKD Guide as calibration method in the Annex, this method can be applied until the end of the above-mentioned period.

Details regarding the regulations in the transition period - which runs until the end of the harmonization period - can be found in the linked and updated original notifications.
