Standards for biopharmaceuticals

The Braunschweig Integrated Centre of Systems Biology (BRICS) of the TU Braunschweig as well as PTB in Braunschweig have been officially collaborating since 1 June 2022. The objective requirements – units, limiting values and measurement methods – which are valid throughout the world for so-called “biologics” (biopharmaceuticals) are to be researched. This work is useful for cholesterol diagnostics or insulin therapy. The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) and the Leibniz Institute DSMZ – Collection of Microorganisms and Cell Cultures are also participants. (Contact: Gavin O’Connor, +49 531 592-3200,
