What is PTB actually researching? What is the work of PTB's staff like and what vocational training is available here? From lessons in experimenting to introductory work experience – there are various age-appropriate ways for school children and students to get to know PTB from within.
PTB takes part in the annual Girls' Day/Boys' Day, which is usually in April. Girls and boys who are at least 13 years old or who are in year 8 can then see what PTB staff do and learn more about vocational training at PTB. If you are interested, please make sure you apply early enough, as there are only a limited number of places. More information is available here on this website each February/March.
Whether you are at school or are a student – work experience for older school children, and vocational or university students is possible at the PTB's sites in Braunschweig and Berlin. Allocating the work experience places is based on the interests of the students and how they can be supported at PTB. You can send your application to the contacts in Braunschweig and Berlin which are detailed to the right, or you can use our online application form. Apart from a covering letter, you should send us your CV and your last school report. You can apply by e-mail at Bewerbung-Praktikum(at)ptb.de or – depending on the desired location − here:
