Charta der Vielfalt (Charter of Diversity)

PTB promotes diversity

PTB has signed the “Charta der Vielfalt” (Charter of Diversity), thus committing itself to creating a working environment free of prejudices – regardless of its employees’ sex, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, ideology, disability, age, and sexual orientation and identity.

The “Charta der Vielfalt” traces its origins to an employers’ initiative from 2006 and is expressly supported by the Federal Government of Germany. A non-profit association acts as its executing agency, and Angela Merkel is its patron. It has already been signed by 3,000 companies and institutions, who have a total of 10.4 million employees.

By signing the charter, PTB has emphasized the importance it places on having a climate of acceptance and mutual trust. Employees’ different skills and talents will be drawn from to create opportunities for innovative and creative solutions – in research as well as in PTB’s other fields of activity, in which contact to business partners and consumers domestically and abroad will be improved.
