Contact: Udo Naudith, phone: +49-531-592-5369
During the first year of training, the trainees learn how to handle the different materials.
To get a feeling for the individual materials, basic courses (manual and mechanical) are held by the Mechanical Training Workshop.
Manual machining covers exercises in laying-out, centering and marking. Handling files,
saws, tools as well as tools for thread cutting (tap, die, etc.) is trained.
Special testing, measuring and gauging instruments are necessary for fabricating workpieces according to the geometrical dimensions required;
In the first year of training, in the field of mechanical production engineering, mainly drilling, countersinking, reaming, milling and turning are trained. The instruction as regards tools and machines also covers basic exercises on the same workpiece.
| The exercises are: |
- reaming of a plate jig
- milling of a baseplate
- turning: shaft of a dish grinder
- performance of project work
