Certification Body for Explosion Protection

Tasks

The Certification Body for Explosion Protection (ZS-Ex) is a "Notified Body" with the registration No. 0102  in accordance with the Council Directive 94/9/EC. The accreditation was carried out by the Central Office for Safety Technology of the Federal States (ZLS) and comprises all modulesof the conformity assessment provided in the Directive. Type examination tests and assessments of quality systems are carried out by the associated Test Laboratory (PL-Ex). The sphere of competence comprises basically electrical and non-electrical equipment and protective systems of group II for gas/vapours (G) as well as flamable dusts (D) in the categories 1 , 2 and 3. The responsibilities are assigned as follows:
