Tasks

  • Quantitative Analysis of organic substances in complex matrix..
  • Development of Reference Measurement Procedures using mass spectrometry.
  • Determination of diagnostic markers1 in clinical samples.
  • Supporting quality in medical practice by providing target values in proficiency testing schemes and comparative measurements with clinical Reference Laboratories2.
  • Participating in international studies on traceability and comparability of such analyses.
  • Participating in certification of Standard Reference Materials, e.g. NIST-SRM 9713.

  • Analytical Biochemistry: Protein analysis by mass spectrometry.
  • Quantitative Proteomics. „Absolute“ quantification of proteins using IDMS.
  • Quantification of growth hormone (GH, somatotropin) from serum.
  • H/D exchange kinetics for obtaining thermodynamic data on proteins.
  • Characterization of protein structures by chemical x-linking.
