Tasks
Research on low dimensional electronic systems with regard to their use as a quantum standards for the realisation of the electrical units, in particular
Fabrication of two-dimensional systems based on Gallium Arsenide with Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE)
Fabrication of one- and zero-dimensional devices using e-beam lithography, self assembly phenomena, or by contacting carbon nanotubes.
Research into electrical transport in low dimensional systems at temperatures down to 15 mK and in magnetic fields up to 20 T
Investigation of single electron tunnelling through self assembled quantum dots.
