Tasks
"Electric Energy Measuring Techniques" at PTB comprises the fields of instrument transformers, high-voltage testing techniques, current and power frequency in the range from 15 Hz to 10 kHz. In particular these tasks also include type approval tests for instrument transformers and electricity meters intended for legal metrology purposes and calibration of the reference standards for state-approved test centres and laboratories of industry.
An essential task within this scope is the development of new measuring methods and the construction of measuring equipment to enable and/or facilitate (automate) measurements in the fields stated.
