Material Data for Room
Acoustics
The working group has started a collection of
room acoustical data of absorption grades and scattering
coefficients of various materials and constructions. To include little known data as well your
assistance is welcome in case you have secured data available. Most needed are measured
data of all room acoustically used surface materials that are not yet included in our databank. The data should have included absorption grades in
octave or better third sectors between (at least) 125 Hz and (at least) 4 kHz.
Specifications should possibly be noted as numerical values <1.3 ( or in %) for
absorption as well as for the scattering coefficient (as defined by Lambert).
In case you make appropriate data available
send them as .txt file by email to ingolf.bork@ptb.de.
Possibly with data source included (own measurement or bibliography) Your participation is
always welcome even if your data are in another format. Thank you very much in advance.
