The "Noise Measuring Technology" Working Group checks the type and thus the admissibility for verification of sound level meters. In a low-reflection measuring chamber, condenser microphones are calibrated in a free field. The working group cooperates with national and international standard committees in the field of measuring sound. Further work is performed in the fields of noise measuring technology and room acoustics. Auralization is used as an important means to convey the auditive impression of sound events.
