Force, torque, pressure: the most exact measurement of mechanical quantities

[PTB]  Force, torque and pressure cross our paths more often than we think on a daily basis. Whether it is the pressure in a heating system, the forces which act on an aircraft while it is in the air or the torque of the screws in the wheel of a car - measuring these parameters exactly is crucial everywhere. This second part of the PTB-Mitteilungen "Masse und abgeleitete mechanische Größen" (mass and derived mechanical quantities) is dedicated to these quantities and is the continuation of the first part, which focused on mass and density. The latest issue of the metro-logical specialist journal and the official information bulletin of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is now available in bookshops or directly from the publisher Wirtschaftsverlag NW, Bremerhaven.
