BVL becomes designated institute for measurement of residues in foods of animal origin

[ptb/bvl]   PTB assigns the Bundesamtes für Verbraucherschutz und Lebensmittelsicherheit (Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety) a metrological task regarding measurands for the analysis of residues in foods of animal origin
The Bundesamt für Verbraucherschutz und Lebensmittelsicherheit (BVL) (Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety) assumes the task of a designated institute, for the measurands needed for the analysis of residues in foods of animal origin. The task was assigned to the BVL by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (National Metrology Institute of the Federal Republic of Germany) which as national metrology institute ensures that the measurement results obtained in Germany be reliable, accurate and comparable.
