Measuring nano- and picoforces
A person who has a cardiac disease has less elastic heart muscles. Why this is so, is currently still being researched, just as are possible starting points for medication. In future, it will be possible for physicians to more accurately and reliably measure the elastic properties of heart muscle cells.
