| Zusammenfassung: | This report starts with a short review of the development of the standard ISO/IEC 7811-2 for low coercivity magnetic stripes on identification cards as well as ISO/IEC 7811-6 for high coercivity magnetic stripes on identification cards. These standards are the basis of the standard ISO/IEC 7811-7 for high coecivity high density magnetic stripes which are the subject of this report. The requirements for the reference material RM7811-7 are summarized and the PTB's measuring devices and the measuring procedure for the certification of this Reference Material are described. In addition, the report gives information about the correct use of RM 7811-7. A sample copy of the PTB's certificate in German and English language is added as an example. In the annex the report of the development of the reference material RM 7811-7 is included. |
