"Round and Ready - dissemination of the kg via Si spheres"

The Si-kg-Workshop addresses to invited National Metrology Institutes (NMIs) and Designated Institutes (DIs) and will illustrate the activities in disseminating the SI unit kilogram via silicon spheres. Besides oral presentations, leading managers and operators will be provided with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in handling Si spheres. This includes cleaning, transportation and safekeeping, among other things. In addition, a new approach for realizing the kilogram via natural silicon spheres will be introduced.
