Camera based techniques provide a promising approach for the measurement of spatially and directionally dependent luminance and ray data (near-field goniophotometer) as well as for the spatially resolved measurement of high temperatures. Such measurements are required for the development and precise characterization of efficient light sources and reflectors. Currently, however, with this technique only qualitative results can be obtained. This project aims at improving this advanced measurement procedure in order to attain accurate results including a characterization of the precision of the measurement. This will enable a broad commercial application of this measurement technique.
