Electroplating

The electroplating is one of the major institutions of scientific instrument making the PTB. Unlike electroplating industry, this region is optimized for use in research. It is an unusually wide range of manufacturing processes available, which allows the work surface technology group, the respective requirements of the departments of the PTB's needs.


The range of our capabilities include:

  • Galvanic coatings (Cu, Ni, Cr, Ag, Au, black nickel, ...)
  • Immersion gold plating
  • Burnishing (cold and hot)
  • Anodizing
  • Coloring of suitable materials
  • Electroforming
  • Electropolishig

The plating has been designed to the highest environmental standards and built. Contaminated waste water is treated in a circulatory system and re-used, the deposited pollutants are regularly disposed of properly. The exhaust from the electrolytes will be cleaned in air cleaners before being released into the atmosphere.

 


We ask all customers in the electroplating industry to discuss in advance all orders with the working group 5.54, in order to avoid delays in the process of editing, see pdf.

Please deliver all materials to be machined cleaned. Necessary pre-treatment (grease or paint) are clearly labeled.

In order to ensure optimum quality of our work, we ask that you always specify the exact description of product with in separate material procurement. Ideally, you should attach a copy of the analysis certificate.

Only when the exact material composition is known, we can determine and carry out the necessary steps.
