
With the Helmholtz Prize, outstanding scientific and technical research work in the field of metrology has been honoured since 1973. It is awarded in the field of precision measurements in physics, chemistry and medicine.
The prize consists of a certificate and is endowed with € 20 000. The Helmholtz Prize 2012 will be awarded on 27 March 2012 in the Stadthalle Braunschweig (Braunschweig Civic Centre) following the Helmholtz Symposium.

Musical accompaniment will be provided by the Salonorchester Hannover Grammophons.
