General Information
PTB's Procurement Office is responsible for the rapid and economical purchasing of the goods and services which PTB needs to fulfil its tasks.
PTB is a public-law institution without legal capacity under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. In its purchasing procedures, PTB therefore acts as a Public Purchaser in accordance with section 98 of the Gesetz gegen Wettbewerbsbeschränkungen ("Law against Restraints in Competition"). This means that the Procurement Office is bound by the provisions of the Public Procurement Law. In particular, the Regulations on Contract Awards for Public Supplies and Services (VOL Parts A and B) are applicable in their versions valid at the time in question.
The Procurement Office is subdivided into the following subject areas:
General Terms and Conditions of Purchase of PTB
Terms and Conditions of PTB for the Submission of Quotations
Please do not send any advertising material or special offers, as such material cannot be considered in any case by PTB. As a matter of principle, for each requirement, PTB's Procurement Office is obliged to solicit quotations. If you want to attract attention to novel developments of equipment that might be relevant to research and science, please get in touch directly with the respective PTB working groups.
