Services

Realization and dissemination of the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90) from -170 °C to 1000 °C by means of radiation thermometry:

Calibration of radiation thermometers and thermography cameras
Calibration of blackbody radiators
Measurement of spectral emissivity in the temperature range from 80 °C to 500 °C

Research

Development of the non-contact temperature measurement from -170 °C to 450 °C under vacuum
Development of emissivity measurement under vacuum from 0 °C to 600 °C
Measurement thermodynamic temperatures by radiometric methods in the IR spectral range
Calibration of THz-detectors with blackbody radiation

Tasks

The working group realizes, disseminates and further developes the International Temperature Scale of 1990 (ITS-90) by means of radiation thermometry and radiometry in the temperature range from -170 °C to 1000 °C. Further fields of work are the measurement of spectral emissivity and national and international standardization work in the field of radiation thermometry.
