Working Group 5.33
Tasks
Gears and threads count among the most important elements of motive power engineering. As industry produces with increasingly tight manufacturing tolerances, increasing requirements derive for metrology. The Working Group supports industry by developing standards and methods in the field of gear and thread metrology and by carrying out high-accuracy calibrations. Within the scope of DAkkS accreditations, comparison measurements and assessments are performed. In addition, the Working Group participates in the preparation of standards and directives in national and international bodies.
