High-voltage Metrology
Working Group 2.32
Tasks
In detail, the tasks of the Working Group are the following:
- Research and development work aimed at devising new measuring methods, automating the acquisition of measurement data and constructing measuring facilities in the fields stated
- Calibration of measuring equipment for high AC, DC and impulse voltages, for impulse currents, partial discharges, capacitance and loss factor
- Test of electrical impulse devices for type approval (under construction)
- Backup of the state-approved test centers for electricity and of the accredited calibration laboratories of the German Calibration Service (Deutscher Kalibrierdienst)
- Cooperation in national and international bodies for standardization and quality assurance in the field of high voltages
- Technical cooperation with other countries in the establishment or improvement of the measurement system
